Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be moved for right offer
Rossi's name continues to circle in trade rumors, and he could be traded if the Wild receive a significant offer, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Rossi is coming off a fantastic rookie campaign in which he notched 21 goals and 19 helpers in 82 games while also chipping in six power-play points. The 22-year-old center would likely return strong value for the Wild but would potentially leave a hole in the middle of the second line. Still, Minnesota has a handful of center prospects in the pipeline according to Russo, which could entice the club to move Rossi for the right price.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2021
Rossi missed the entire 2020-21 season due to the side effects of a positive COVID-19 test, so all that mattered this past year was that he returned to full health. He passed that test with flying colors, playing 63 games for Minnesota's AHL affiliate in Iowa and posting 53 points. Rossi also saw a brief two-game stint with the Wild. Rossi was widely viewed as the most NHL-ready player in the 2020 draft behind No. 1 overall pick Alexis Lafreniere, so he should have a real chance to crack the Wild lineup this coming season. Rossi, the No. 9 overall pick in that same draft, is a worthy dart throw in deeper fantasy formats.
