ANALYSIS
The Arrow McLaren star would start eighth on the grid and race among the leaders all afternoon at the Brickyard. O'Ward would get good track position late and lead 12 laps during a running battle down the stretch with Josef Newgarden. He would take the white flag in the lead and appear on the way to victory, but Newgarden would overtake him with an incredible move to the outside. O'Ward would be crushed by the loss, but still earn a very impressive runner-up finish.
