Fyfe will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his dislocated shoulder, his club announced Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Fyfe had suffered a similar injury that nearly ended his season in June but a recurrence of a dislocation demands a quick response before the problem gets worse. Through 15 games played, Fyfe averaged 24.1 disposals per game and scored six goals.

Fyfe (shoulder) will again be a test heading into Round 16 against Carlton, according to GM Peter Bell. "Unfortunately, he didn't come up for the game but we are really confident that he will be available against Carlton."

Fyfe was a late scratch against Collingwood but has a better shot of playing against the Blues. With how well the Dockers have played lately without Fyfe, his inclusion could make a big difference in the coming weeks.

June 24, 2021
Fyfe is listed as a center for Round 15 against Collingwood.
ANALYSIS
Fyfe overcame a dislocated shoulder to return by this game and missed just one round thanks to the mid-June bye. With the captain back in the middle for the Dockers, it's worth figuring out how much this will impact the production of others against a struggling Magpies club.

June 22, 2021
Fyfe (dislocated shoulder) is listed as a test heading into Round 15 against Collingwood, according to GM Peter Bell. "He's got some really good range and good strength. We'll see how he goes on Wednesday with some contact, but things are quite promising at the moment."
ANALYSIS
Fyfe suffered a dislocated shoulder against the Western Bulldogs in Round 12 and has done well in his recovery to not be out for longer. If he does return this weekend, Fyfe will take some of the scoring burden off Andrew Brayshaw in the midfield.
