Kings Defeat Trail Blazers,124-121
The Sacramento Kings defeated the host Portland Trail Blazers, 124-121, at Moda Center on Wednesday.

Sacramento rode a 38-26 second quarter to their victory, holding the lead for the entirety of the second half. In fact, they held the lead for all but two minutes in this game, maintaining a double-digit lead for the majority of the second half. With that said, Portland cut it to a three-point margin behind a 36-24 fourth-quarter but missed their only game-tying opportunity at the buzzer. Fastbreak scoring was the only major advantage for Sacramento, outscoring Portland, 20-2. In addition, the Kings shot 42 percent from three-point range while holding the Blazers to 34 percent.

The Kings (1-0) were led by Harrison Barnes and his 36 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals. De'Aaron Fox finished with 27 points, five rebounds and eight assists. Richaun Holmes had 21 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Buddy Hield led the bench with 17 points, six rebounds and two assists.

The Trail Blazers (0-1) were led by C.J. McCollum, collecting 34 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals on 14-of-24 from the field. Damian Lillard tallied 20 points, six rebounds and 11 assists. Jusuf Nurkic accumulated 20 points, 14 rebounds and two assists. Norman Powell provided 14 points and five boards.

On deck for Sacramento is a home matchup with the Utah Jazz on Friday. As for Portland, they're off until Saturday, when they play host to the Phoenix Suns.
