2023 Rush/Rec Projections
Targeting November return
Davis (knee) is targeting Mississippi State's game against UMass on November 2 for a return to action, Justin Frommer of 247Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Davis is continuing to rehab after suffering a knee injury in Mississippi State's season finale loss to Ole Miss in November of last season and appears to be far from a potential return at this point. The sophomore running back ran for 356 yards and six touchdowns for the Bulldogs in 2023 and was projected to be at the top of the running back room in Starkville heading into 2024, but it appears head coach Jeff Lebby will have to make do without Davis for at least the first half of the season.
