ICC T20 World Cup: Five Players to Watch

The International Cricket Council (ICC) 2021 is set to begin in less than two weeks' time and the excitement amongst the fans is reaching new heights.

Here's a look at five players who might prove to be a difference-maker in the competition for their respective teams.

Hazratullah Zazai (Afghanistan)

First in the list features Afghanistan's opener Hazratullah Zazai. The left-hander is famous for his hard-hitting at the top of the order and has already showcased his talent for the Peshawar Zalmi franchise in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 when it was organized in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Zazai has represented his country in 15 T20Is in his career where he has managed to score 570 runs at an average of 40.71 along with an impressive strike-rate of 155.31, which included one century and two fifties.

Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh)

Second in the list features Bangladesh's veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. The 34-year-old has been in prolific form, both with the bat and ball in the recent past. He played a key role in helping the side in defeating Australia and New Zealand in the recently concluded T20I series. Since the tournament will be played in conditions where spin is likely to play a role, Al Hasan will be a player to have in your fantasy lineup as he is more than likely to give you some crucial points.

Hasan Ali (Pakistan)

Third in the list features Pakistan's star pacer Hasan Ali. The right-armer has been in prolific form with the ball in hand ever since making his return from a lengthy injury layoff last year. That's not it as Ali has proved to be more than useful with the bat in hand lower down the order and therefore, he can prove to be an excellent acquisition. The 27-year-old has played 41 T20Is for the national team where he has managed to claim 52 wickets and scored 119 runs as well.

Liam Livingstone (England)

Fourth in the list features England's Liam Livingstone. The 28-year-old is a seasoned campaigner in white-ball cricket and is now making his name at the international level as well where he scored a brilliant century against Pakistan in a losing cause in a T20I earlier this year. That's not all as Livingstone can also contribute with some leg-break bowling as well. However, the right-hander had a hard time while representing the Rajasthan Royals franchise in the IPL 2021 in the UAE where he could not contribute significantly with the bat in hand.

Lokesh Rahul (India)

Last in the list features India's Lokesh Rahul. The right-hander has been in prolific form with the bat in hand in the recent past and has scored some crucial runs for the Punjab Kings franchise in the IPL 2021 as well. Since the tournament is being played in the UAE where the second-leg of the IPL 2021 took place as well, Rahul's batting form might prove to be a real plus point for India. The 29-year-old has played 49 T20Is in his career where he has managed to score 1,557 runs at an average of 39.92 along with the strike-rate 142.19, which included two centuries and 12 fifties.
