Quickly submits Ricardo Ramos
Jourdain defeated Ricardo Ramos via submission (guillotine choke) at 3:12 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Jourdain followed up his unanimous decision win over Kron Gracie this past May with another strong performance -- one that would go on to win him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus when the night was all said and done. The Canadian is typically known as a stand-up brawler, but Jourdain's high-end mat game was on display in this fight. He and Ramos were engaged in an exchange on the mat, at which time the latter pushed forward in an attempt to gain top position and left his neck exposed in the process. Jourdain took full advantage. Charles improves to 4-2 in his past half-dozen bouts dating back to September 2021.

Taking on Ramos
Jourdain fight Ricardo Ramos in a featherweight bout at UFC Vegas 79 on Sept. 23, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Jourdain will look to stack victories, as he's coming off a win over Kron Gracie via unanimous decision back in May. That brought his UFC record to an even 5-5-1, and he'll look to go over the .500 mark against Ramos.

Cruises past Kron Gracie
Jourdain defeated Kron Gracie via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC 288 on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey.
ANALYSIS
Jourdain entered as a roughly a -165 favorite, which turned out to be way too low considering Gracie hadn't fought since October 2019 and possesses no UFC-caliber skills other than his submission game. Charles was in firm control on the feet the entire way, pounding Kron at will. In instances in which Gracie pulled guard to get to the mat, Jourdain made sure he kept his arms in tight to ensure his opponent wouldn't be allowed any openings. It was academic from there. Jourdain has far more ability than his 5-5-1 UFC mark would lead you to believe. Now it's just a matter of consistently putting it all together on a fight-by-fight basis.
