Walde has been confirmed to have torn his anterior syndesmotic ligament in his ankle,
the club announced Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Walde looks to be heading to the sidelines for a decent amount of time, most likely missing the rest of the season after tearing a ligament in his ankle that will probably require surgery. This is unfortunate for the player, as he will have to halt his developmental work with the U23s, but luckily for the club, he has not played a single minute for the first team, so it won't affect anything internally. He will now look to have a recovery process with no setbacks, just looking to be healthy for the start of the next season, which shouldn't be a problem with a three-month recovery period expected.
