Dangerfield had strong expectations heading into 2021 after averaging 16.2 points and 3.6 assists in 30.0 minutes per game while starting all but two games during her rookie season. However, she ceded her starting job early in her sophomore campaign when Minnesota signed Layshia Clarendon, and the second-year player was unable to generate the same consistency that she displayed as a rookie. Heading into her third season in the league, Dangerfield seems likely to slot into a reserve role at guard again. Even if she does emerge into a starting role again, her efficiency will need to bounce back if she hopes to become a reliable fantasy option. Dangerfield's fantasy results are dependent on her scoring, and her field-goal percentage was down to 38.8 percent last year after shooting 47.1 percent from the floor as a rookie. She also attempted fewer field goals per game (7.2) last year than during her rookie campaign (12.5).
