2024 Fantasy Outlook
Turner is known for her elite defense and strong rebounding skills. Her playing time took a dramatic hit in 2023, as her 26.3 minutes per game were her fewest since 2019, but Turner still finished inside the top-40 fantasy players for a fourth straight campaign. This offseason, Turner was traded to Chicago, along with Michaela Onyenwere and four draft picks, in the blockbuster deal that sent Kahleah Copper to Phoenix. Isabelle Harrison and Diamond DeShields both missed 2023 due to knee injuries, so their health in 2024 will be key in determining the Sky's frontcourt rotation. However, if Turner is a regular starter, she should be a quality fantasy option given her elite production in multiple categories, but her ceiling is limited due to her lack of offensive firepower. Knee
May 2, 2024
Turner (knee) is questionable for Friday's preseason game against the Lynx, Matt Cohen of Winsidr reports.
ANALYSIS
Turner was traded to the Sky during the offseason, and she's expected to play a key role during Chicago's rebuild. Turner is likely to be a consistent source of rebounds and defensive stats on her new team.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
With Brittney Griner unlawfully detained in Russia, Turner saw elevated playing time in 2022 with a career-high 33.4 minutes per game, but her production took a step back playing in the center role, averaging just 4.3 points and 6.8 rebounds, her lowest marks since her rookie season. She was slightly more effective on the defensive side of the ball with 2.8 combined blocks/steals, but her overall fantasy value was limited. While Tina Charles left the team last season, Brittney Griner's expected return to the Mercury should shift Turner's role in the frontcourt back to her regular spot, albeit with a likely reduction in mintues. Turner should continue to start and could bounce back on the boards after averaging 9.2 rebounds per game between the 2020 and 2021 seasons. However, fantasy managers drafting her for her defensive abilities will have to settle for her low ceiling on offense.
Turner has turned into a valuable frontcourt piece for the Mercury over the last two seasons, starting all 54 regular-season contests. Turner works exclusively in the post, with 86.7 percent of her scoring coming in the paint (highest in the league) and the other 13.3 percent coming from the free-throw line. The team's addition of Tina Charles this offseason gives the Mercury's frontcourt more spacing options. Turner could also step into a larger role if Britney Griner, who tallied 62.1 percent of her points in the paint, is unavailable for part or all of the season. Turner is among the better rebounders in the league, sporting a rebound rate (14.9 percent) that ranked sixth among players who averaged at least 15 minutes per game.
