Raptors Clinch First Win Of Season, Defeat Celtics
The Toronto Raptors defeated the Boston Celtics, 115-83, at TD Garden on Friday evening.

The Raptors (1-1) and the Celtics (0-2) were both coming off disappointing losses in their season openers, but Toronto used an impressive scoring run in the second half to pull away and secure their first victory of the season -- leaving Ime Udoka's Celtics still searching for their first victory with him at the helm. The game started tight, though, as the first quarter ended with a 23-23 tie and the Raptors only mustered a four-point advantage following the end of the first half. However, they pulled away in the second half and registered a 33-17 lead in the third quarter. Boston didn't even attempt a late comeback and Toronto took advantage of that, as they outscored their rivals by a 31-19 score in the fourth quarter, setting up the stage to secure a dominant win.

Scottie Barnes came out of nowhere to lead the Raptors in this win, as he finished with 25 points and 13 rebounds, while Precious Achiuwa also posted a double-double since he ended with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Fred VanVleet had another struggling performance when it comes to shooting and ended with 11 points but also added nine assists. Gary Trent Jr. had 20 points, and OG Anunoby compiled 14 points. Chris Boucher added 11 points off the bench.

Only three Boston players scored in double digits in this one, and Jayson Tatum led the team offensively with 18 points while making eight of his 14 shots. Al Horford had a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Josh Richardson delivered 12 points coming off the bench. Jaylen Brown had nine points (3-13 FG).
