Wizards Edge Out Pacers In High-Scoring Bout
The Washington Wizards defeated the visiting Indiana Pacers, 135-134, in overtime at Capital One Arena on Friday evening.

The contest got out to a high-scoring start, as the Pacers led, 36-32, after one quarter. The fast pace continued in the second quarter, where the Wizards poured in 41 points, to tie it up at 73, by halftime. The Wizards kept the momentum going in the third and outscored the Pacers by 10 points in the frame, but the Pacers gave it right back in the fourth, and led by six points with two minutes left. However, Spencer Dinwiddie came up clutch with two key three-pointers to send the game to overtime. The high-octane contest continued through the overtime period, where the Wizards outscored the visitors, 12-11, to secure their second consecutive win and first home win of the season.

Spencer Dinwiddie led the way for the Wizards with 34 points on 13-of-24 shooting, nine assists and six rebounds, in 35 minutes. Kyle Kuzma followed up with 26 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and a steal, while Raul Neto chipped in 18 points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block. The Wizards shot 52 percent from the field, including 19-of-38 from deep.

Meanwhile, Myles Turner led the Pacers with 40 points on 15-of-22 shooting, 10 rebounds, three blocks and a steal, in 44 minutes. Domantas Sabonis totaled 28 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and a block, while Malcolm Brogdon added 28 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, two steals and a block. The Pacers shot 53.6 percent, including 15-of-34 from long range.

The Pacers (0-2) will look to bounce back as the play host to the Heat on Saturday. The Wizards (2-0) take on the Nets in Brooklyn on Monday.
